Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2 Empty Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2

Alfred really didn't mean to take advantage and he had somewhat mistaken the other's goals as to wanting to be penetrated though now that he was sobering up, he really couldn't help but think that he was kind of a dick right there. He really could have hurt Arthur if he went on with it and for that reason, he was glad that Gilbert stopped them. He had been drunk and he wasn't thinking correctly and after all, Arthur didn't tell him no. He even tried to force a neutral expression! He barely knew he was hurting Arthur!

Though by the time he went to the flat, lonely and filled up with guilt, he easily knocked out. He was able to sleep for a few hours until he heard the buzzer to his flat. Fuck...was that Arthur? With a soft sigh, he soon sat up, his head throbbing unpleasantly as he managed to to push himself up and clamber over to the door. Glancing over at the clock on the way, he couldn't help but notice that it was 4 AM. Fuck...was Arthur really gone that long? He couldn't help but be a bit angry at the thought of it.

Yet he opened the door calmly and quietly, gazing over at Arthur. He really didn't feel like talking with him tonight and though he wanted to apologise, all he wanted to do was sleep. It didn't seem like the other man really wanted to talk with him either. After all, he fucked up. Didn't he? He always fucked up.

In the end, Alfred knew that he should have never gotten drunk. "It's four in the morning." He simply stated, biting his lip a bit before turning around to head back to bed. "Come to bed."

Arthur trudged inside, shrugging out of his coat. He placed it amongst the other coats (all of which belonged to Alfred, of course) and toed off his shoes. He didn’t say anything as he wandered further into the flat.

“I’m an adult, Alfred. I don’t need you to tell me when to go to bed,” he bit out although he knew that he would be in bed relatively soon. He dumped his briefcase on the floor, deciding that he would deal with it tomorrow. He ran his fingers back through his hair tiredly and suppressed a yawn.

He wasn’t all that eager to talk to his boyfriend, especially not after the frosty greeting he’d gotten when he came inside. Arthur wasn’t at all apologetic about the time he’d come home or for his mood. He walked straight past Alfred to find some pyjamas to change into. He huddled himself into a corner of the room, facing the wall as he undressed (from the suit which he was still wearing). He felt much better in clean, soft underwear and pyjamas.

Alfred really wanted to be warmer with his greeting but he had been left alone feeling like absolute crap and he had possibly the worst hangover in the world. He hated it and he was even less pleased that Arthur came home so late. Not only that but Arthur didn't seem sorry about it at all. He couldn't help but have some doubts. He did some really stupid things when he was drunk...did Arthur do some stupid things as well? When he wasn't there? He hoped not.

The American couldn't help but flinch at the reply and he just glanced away. "Sorry." He murmured as he closed the door and he soon climbed under the covers once again. They were warm. Despite this and just how he felt overall, the American kept his eyes focused on Arthur. He just quietly watched him and despite his frosty demeanour, he still couldn't help but feel just a bit warmed watching his boyfriend.

"Are you hurt?" He asked quietly, throat sore as he continued on watching him. "Did I hurt you?" He continued and despite his exhaustion, he was still concerned.

Arthur turned to face him, one thick eyebrow arched upwards. He didn’t answer him at first and instead got into bed beside him, settling himself beneath the bedcovers. He turned so that he was on his side, facing away from Alfred.

“Shut up,” he replied bluntly. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Although, he actually did want to discuss it with him. He wondered if Alfred had any inclination as to how much being fucked raw hurt? Or if he had learnt anything at all about gay sex since they’d been together. Arthur closed his eyes, brows furrowed as he started to think more about it. Sex was important to Arthur and he wasn’t getting any. It was incredibly frustrating. He wasn’t any less attracted to Alfred despite everything and he wanted to feel as though he could trust Alfred not to hurt him regardless of the situation.

It wasn’t… too bad. It wasn’t as though Arthur was going to break up with him but it was a bloody stupid mistake (despite how Arthur had quite blatantly wiggled his backside at Alfred).

Alfred couldn't help but feel more horrible about it when he heard Arthur's answer and he soon laid down on the bed, back towards Arthur. He wanted to hold the man close despite the fact that he was drunk, he just wanted to keep him close and just wish the situation away.

"Good night." He murmured softly before closing his eyes.

All he could hope was that Arthur wouldn't break up with him because of everything stupid that he had done. Normally he wouldn't care this much if he had a girlfriend or something but he knew that Arthur was different from any other girlfriend that he had. He cared about him deeply...maybe a bit more than he should and he was a bit scared of it.

Especially when he didn't know how Arthur would feel about all of it.

If he had known that it hurt Arthur even the slightest bit, then he wouldn't have done anything. He should have known that it would hurt because it certainly hurt his first time and it had been a month since he last been in Arthur but still...with the way that Arthur seemed to want it, he thought it would have been alright. With a soft sigh, he tried to fall asleep.

Post by Mr. Kirkland Sat Feb 04, 2012 4:09 am

Arthur heaved a sigh and tried to lull himself to sleep. His entire body ached and felt heavy from the exertion of being awake for so long. All he wanted to do was sleep and forget about what happened. He’d wanted it, so it was his own fault that he’d gotten hurt (but not really – he wasn’t in pain anymore but that could have just been the alcohol). They could try again tomorrow and make up with one another.

Part of the reason Arthur felt that he was so angry was because he spend most/all of his time with either Alfred or someone from work. He didn’t have any genuine friends (aside from Gilbert who he had currently decided was a dick) in New York. It was kind of sad to think about really.

But ultimately, he felt like he needed a break. He would start searching for his own place as soon as possible.

Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2 Empty Re: Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2

Post by Assistant Jones Sat Feb 04, 2012 4:26 am

Alfred decided that he shouldn't think about it anymore. It was just making him depressed thinking about it. He wondered if Arthur could even stand him anymore. He knew that he certainly lusted after him but could he stand him as a person? It really didn't seem like that was really the case. In fact, sometimes it seemed that Arthur was with him mainly for his looks and the sex...but he just hoped that it would be different. He hoped that was not the reason.

It had been a while since he last was with his friends and in all honesty, if it meant getting away from the uncertainty and getting hurt like this, he would spend more time with them. He soon fell asleep.

It was still rather early in the morning when Alfred woke up, the sunlight peering through the windows and he let out a soft sigh. The hangover wasn't as bad as he expected but still, it was an overall unpleasant feeling. Glancing over at Arthur's sleeping form, Alfred soon stood up from bed and brought a chair next to the window, simply sitting there as he gazed outside.

All he saw was city, more city, people and more people. Sometimes he wanted to get away from it all. Get away from all the stresses. Alfred glanced back at Arthur, pondering what he should.

In the end, he couldn't be angry at Arthur. Yet there was still uncertainty deep inside of him and for once with the man, he felt scared. But instead Alfred brought the chair closer to the bed side as he lightly ran his fingers through his hair, not trying to wake him up. After all, he didn't want Arthur to pull away. He didn't want to lose him.

Maybe that was why he was scared.

Post by Mr. Kirkland Sat Feb 04, 2012 4:43 am

Arthur felt awful but not as bad as he could have done. He didn’t feel as horrid as he had doe the previous weekend, when he’d come back from Australia. He was still sunburnt from that, actually. He’d been too proud to ask Alfred to help him with it. It was his own fault that he’d gotten burnt, after all.

He had slept relatively peacefully despite everything. He could have done with a few more hours sleep though. He twitched a little underneath Alfred’s touch, still fast asleep (for the time being, at least). He grumbled a little, determined to stay asleep for just a bit longer. He shifted, falling a little bit on to his front, but he wasn’t pulling away from Alfred. He couldn’t exactly tell what was going on though. For all Arthur knew, he was experiencing some sort of indoor breeze.

Arthur looked relaxed as he slept, lips slightly parted and cheeks flushed pink. His hair was messy and his eyebrows were huge (as always) but he had long eyelashes and sharp features to combat it.

He exhaled heavily, still asleep.

Alfred sighed softly and he knew that he had to be careful with Arthur's burns. He refused to take any of the aloe vera that he had offered and he honestly didn't know why. Even he didn't have enough pride to turn down aloe when he was burnt all over, though fortunately enough he didn't get sunburnt easily.

He just continued on stroking the man's hair lightly, trying his best to not wake him up. He smiled a little when he gazed down at him. He always looked so peaceful when he was asleep and even though he was hurt by last night, he could at least enjoy him in his sleep. He soon leant forward to press a kiss to the top of his head, letting out a soft sigh.

He really wished he could do more for Arthur and be the ideal boyfriend.

Arthur finally started to stir as the ‘breeze’ ceased to persist. He slowly began to open his eyes as he felt something wet touch his forehead. He blinked, blearily looking up at Alfred. Initially, he was surprised to see the American immediately in front of his face but after he got over the shock, he cracked a smile, although it was small.

He’d clearly just caught Alfred in the middle of a tender act. It was somewhat endearing.

“Morning, darling,” he murmured, shifting so that his arms were folded beneath his chin as he looked up at his boyfriend. He knew that they had a lot of faults as a couple, but he really did care for Alfred. He was happy with Alfred just the way that he was.

Alfred paused for a moment when he felt Arthur stir and he finally looked down at him, trying a small smile. He really didn't want things this morning to start off badly, especially since he was pretty much stroking the man's hair and sneaking in a kiss while he was still asleep. When they were probably supposed to be somewhat angry.

"Morning, babe." He returned back with a small smile though his cheeks were a bit red with embarrassment and the aspect of being caught. He was caught and he really couldn't act as if he didn't do it.

Despite pulling away from the other's forehead which he placed the kiss on, Alfred still kept close to Arthur and in quite a contrast to what he was feeling before...he wasn't all that nervous. He felt...oddly calmed.

Green eyes met blue.

They should have been angry, shouting at each other with pathetic threats that neither of them meant. Arthur sighed softly and leaned a little closer to his boyfriend. He almost wanted to kiss him considering how close they were at that moment. But he knew that it probably wasn’t appropriate.

His gaze lingered on the American’s face, fleetingly remembering when they had first met and how childish Alfred had looked to him; that certainly wasn’t the case anymore. Alfred seemed to have grown into his face more, despite looking just a little bit bigger than he used to be. Whether it was muscle or not, he couldn’t be sure. Somehow, he doubted that it was muscle. He hadn’t seen Alfred visit the gym once since he’d moved in with him.

“What time is it?” he asked quietly, still tired and hazy from sleep.

Post by Assistant Jones Sat Feb 04, 2012 5:37 am

Despite the fact that they should have probably been yelling at each other, being angry and the like, Alfred really couldn't bring himself to do it. Not with Arthur. Not anymore. He was tired and he just didn't want to fight about something like this. They both made mistakes and they didn't necessarily need to apologise to understand.

During Arthur's time in Australia, Alfred found himself more often than not at the gym but he never spent that long in there. He certainly hadn't gone when Arthur was there with him and he just hoped that it wasn't having any bad side effects on him. Though admittedly, he really didn't have as much time to go to the gym as he would like. Not with his work and personal life in the way.

Finally glancing over at the clock, Alfred hummed a bit to himself, trying to take notice of the time.

"It's almost ten in the morning." He murmured, voice still soft as he kept close to the bedside. Alfred still felt bad deep inside but at least they weren't yelling at each other.

Post by Mr. Kirkland Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:14 am

“Right…” Arthur mumbled, eyelids fluttering open and closed a few times. He was tired. His eyelids felt heavy. But he knew that he should get up, or at least try to make amends with his boyfriend. He shifted his position, moving away from Alfred. He shivered a little at the coldness of his new position beneath the sheets. He patted the space he had just made for Alfred, waiting for him to re-join him in bed.

He rather liked the thought of lying in bed with him, all warm and tangled limbs. It sounded nice. He moved to be on his side again, propping his head up on one arm. He didn’t want to give Alfred the impression that he wanted anything more than to hold him; he was too tired to start being boisterous.

“Come here, you daft thing,” he smiled a little, voice tender.

Post by Assistant Jones Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:21 am

Alfred was first a bit confused when Arthur pulled away and he couldn't help but look at him curiously. Did he not want to be touched by him? Though he decided that he wouldn't fret too much about it and instead he just looked at the other, expecting an answer. A smile soon pulled at his lips though when he heard the other's answer and he heard the tenderness of Arthur's voice.

The American knew that he shouldn't mention last night if Arthur didn't mention it. Instead he laughed softly, cheeks warming a bit though he was more than happy to climb in bed, soon wrapping his arms around the man as he cuddled up close.

He was more than happy to make himself comfortable next to Arthur, that small yet gentle smile still on his lips. "This good?" He asked quietly, lightly kissing his cheek but doing nothing more than that.

And he was falling more.

Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2 Empty Re: Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2

Post by Mr. Kirkland Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:44 am

“Yes, very good,” Arthur confirmed, curling his leg around one of Alfred’s as he shifted a little more so that his head was resting on his shoulder. He was comfortable to just cuddle up with his lover and just enjoy the warmth that radiated from both of their bodies combined.

They were both silly and utterly ridiculous. Alfred hadn’t known what he was doing; he hadn’t actually had anal sex that much before (let alone with another man) so it was no surprise that he had made a mistake. Arthur would have to be patient and teach him how to do everything properly with finesse.

His hand resting on Alfred’s arm gently began to stroke the skin there, fingers moving in slow and careful movements. He sighed softly, willing himself to say something, anything. He needed to stop Alfred feeling bad, because he knew that he did, despite his silence.

“Sometimes I feel so happy,” he said, quietly before awkwardly pausing, clearing his throat. When all else fails, rely on lyrics. Fantastic job, Arthur. Alfred had once mentioned that he’d wanted to hear Arthur sing, so why not now? It’d make him smile, wouldn’t it?

Sometimes I feel so sad,” he started again, nerves showing in his voice. “Sometimes I feel so happy, but mostly you just make me mad.” Arthur moved again, lifting his torso up a little to look down at Alfred, his beautiful boyfriend who was always smiling and so full of happiness that it made his heart want to burst. “Baby, you just make me mad,” he smiled a little more, raising his hand from Alfred’s arm to card through his golden locks. “Linger on… your pale blue eyes,” he sang, much softer now as he pressed a kiss to Alfred’s temple.

Linger on… your pale blue eyes…”*

{* For anyone interested, the song is Pale Blue Eyes by the Velvet Underground. It’s really beautiful, go check it out.}

Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2 Empty Re: Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 2

Post by Assistant Jones Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:54 am

Alfred was more than happy to start drifting off to sleep once more but he decided that he was comfortable enough just snuggled up against Arthur. It really was nice...to be this close to him and to just leave the night before. They both made mistakes and he definitely made a mistake by not being careful but at least he learnt his lesson and that they were both fortunate that Gilbert did intervene. Despite how long it had been. It might take him a while but he was confident that sooner or later, he would be able to satisfy his lover.

He was just quietly rubbing the other, humming in contentment though he was rather surprised when Arthur looked down at him and well...said that he was happy? At first it confused Alfred beyond all else but soon he came to notice that Arthur was showing a bit of nerves and that well, he was singing. Not only singing, but singing to him.

And it made him smile.

Alfred was more than happy to listen to him, loving the man's voice as he sang softly and what a voice he had. Even with the nerves, he was more than happy to listen to him and just adore that beautiful voice and song. The young man leant against the soft kiss against his temple and he smiled more, letting out a soft sigh of contentment. He didn't say anything but it was easy enough to tell that Alfred loved every moment of it. Loved every moment of Arthur singing to him.

Post by Mr. Kirkland Sat Feb 04, 2012 7:06 am

Three words seemed to spring to mind but he couldn’t and wouldn’t say them.

Arthur leaned down, placing gentle and brief kisses to Alfred’s face. He whispered some more of the song, choosing not to sing anymore just because of how nervous he felt about it. He eventually crumbled and stopped all together, lips lightly pressed to Alfred’s ear.

“I’m sorry,” he murmured against Alfred’s earlobe. He never wanted to be angry with Alfred. Not at all. Not when he knew just how stupid he was bloody being. “I thought that it’d be fun and it wasn’t and Jesus…” he sighed, “I don’t want to make you feel bad about what happened.” Of course, he didn’t know that Alfred was feeling guilty about hurting him – he merely thought that things were tense because of his disappearance.

He stopped himself from saying anymore and silenced Alfred before he could say anything in response and pressed a slow kiss to his lips.

Alfred couldn't help but laugh softly when Arthur leant down to place kisses over his face and he was just happy to hear him even for a bit. He wasn't going to force Arthur to keep on singing but he definitely enjoyed every moment. "You're a beautiful singer." He whispered softly with a small smile, honest and caring. The American soon leant more towards the lips pressed against his ear and he took in a soft breath though he soon glanced over at Arthur, quiet.

He really didn't want Arthur to feel bad. They were both drunk and got a bit carried away and he hardly knew what Arthur was referring to and it was all just confusing but he decided it was best that they resolved it. Before he could even speak though, Alfred could feel warmth against his own and he soon decided to relax. Closing his eyes, he drew Arthur just a bit closer though he kept the kiss slow and light, enjoying every moment of it.

He wanted Arthur to know that he forgave him and he pulled slightly away as well. "I'm sorry also." He whispered softly as he pressed another gentle kiss to his lips.

Arthur had blushed at the compliment and pointedly ignored it. He hadn’t ever thought much for his own voice. He liked to sing and he knew that he wasn’t all that bad but it wasn’t really something that he wanted to be heard doing, alone. He still had flashbacks from when he was in the church choir as a child, for goodness sake.

As Alfred’s eyes slid closed, so did his own. He just breathed out, a sigh filled with mirth at Alfred’s apology. They both knew that they were forgiven and it was good. Arthur returned the re-newed kiss, pillowing his lips against his boyfriend’s. He held on a little tighter to him as he moved to lie atop of Alfred completely, knowing that he’d be able to take his weight. He cupped either side of Alfred’s face carefully in his hands as though if he pressed too hard, Alfred would break.

He hummed contentedly against his lips.

Post by Assistant Jones Sat Feb 04, 2012 7:39 am

Alfred knew that Arthur didn't always take compliments all that well and so he let it slide with just a simple grin. It definitely didn't change his mind about it though. He knew that he was certainly a better singer than himself (though that really wasn't saying all that much). Yet still, Arthur was certainly above a lot of people he heard and maybe it was the fact that he was singing to him which made it so much more special.

Feeling the sigh, he smiled a bit more into the kiss and he completely relaxed, just content now and happy. He could put last night behind him now and continue on, learning from their mistakes and trying to change their relationship for the better. He soon laid on his back, letting Arthur lie on top of him as he stroked the man's back lightly and carefully. Alfred was more than happy to pillow his lips back against Arthur's own, enjoying the warmth of his body and his lips

It was so lovely. It was really lovely, and nice and just everything that he could have possibly wanted. He winced, however, as Alfred brushed his hands over his back and consequently broke the kiss. He seethed a little.

“Fucking sunburn,” he muttered, mostly to himself before lying down again, his chest against Alfred’s. He kissed his neck lazily.

Arthur had no idea of what his back actually looked like at that moment, all he knew was that it was painful after a week. Which wasn’t good, as far as he could remember. He should ask Alfred for help, or at least to look at it. He swallowed thickly before mumbling against his skin, “Alfred… will you have a look at my back?” he asked, sounding embarrassed.

Alfred immediately drew his hand back when he heard Arthur hiss and he frowned a bit, letting the kiss break no matter how disappointing it was. He knew that Arthur should have listened to him and taken the aloe! It would have definitely helped him with his sunburn! With a small frown, Alfred nodded as he lightly stroked Arthur's hair.

"Are you alright? Does it hurt a lot?" He asked, knowing what it was like to at least have one nasty burn. It was especially bad when cloth would keep on rubbing against a burn. That was never any fun. He soon nodded at the other's question and he soon sat up, lightly urging Arthur to go up with him.

"Alright, let me see it." He murmured. "Might be best if you took off your shirt so I can see it all."

Arthur seemed reluctant to remove his shirt but knew that he had to. He sat up and
turned in Alfred’s lap so that his back was facing him.

“It doesn’t hurt a lot,” he replied, unbuttoning his pyjama shirt. “It’s just uncomfortable.” Eventually, he reached the end of his buttons and started to shrug out of his shirt. He didn’t really want Alfred to stare at his body. He was bony and extremely aware of it. He folded up his shirt and placed it in his lap. He looked back over his shoulder at his boyfriend.

“It’s not that bad, is it?” he asked.

Alfred glanced over at Arthur's back and he hummed to himself, being careful with his touched as he lightly touched his back to make sure that everything was alright. "Your back seems well enough. It's still red and there's some cracked skin but other than that, nothing too bad." He said but soon he frowned a bit, leaning over to the night drawer to grab the bottle of aloe that he had gotten for Arthur.

"You should put this on though. It makes it feel a whole lot better." He gave a small smile. "Trust me. I've gotten a few burns myself before and this always really helps me out." He said, waving the bottle a little.
