Alfred just sighed and he patted Arthur's back gently, not really knowing what to say. Peter had been laughing way too much for his own good, delighting in Arthur's humiliation while Liam simply seemed to be too tired for all of this. Instead Alfred kept his arm around Arthur, holding him close and covering him up as best as he could before rushing him back up into the bedroom.

If he was younger, he would have found the situation to be a lot more hilarious but this was his lover that just got humiliated and while he always did love a good laugh, Alfred didn't want Arthur to feel like this. Definitely not to this extreme, even if they were family.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he finally brought him upstairs. "You should go take a shower to wash off the mud. I'll grab some clothes for you and bring it to the bathroom, okay?" He tried to be encouraging and optimistic.

Though in all honesty, Alfred just wanted to go back to sleep.

So much for sleeping in late.

Andrew wolf-whistled as the couple passed him.

Arthur was red in the face, allowing Alfred to guide him up the stairs. He felt a little numb as Alfred spoke, not really listening. That had been an utterly degrading situation and honestly, Arthur had felt as though he would have rather died. Patrick was only two years older than him (twenty nine) but he was like one of the biggest kids in the world. It had been relatively painful being smacked and kicked by someone using such force. It had been a while.

“I-I’m fine,” he said at last in response to Alfred. He cleared his throat and began to take off the jacket, knowing that no one else was on the same floor as them. “I’ll… yes, a shower sounds like a good idea.” He handed Alfred the jacket and began to head down the corridor. “You can go back to bed, Alfred. It’s fine. I’m not six.” Although he appreciated Alfred’s offer, a lot.

Arthur soon found the bathroom and shut the door behind him. He would have locked it, but he knew that even if he’d told Alfred to go back to bed, it was extremely like that he’d try to come and help him anyway. Alfred was sweet like that.

It would be a lie to say that the water made him feel better immediately, because it didn’t. He was a little bit shaken up from the ordeal and feeling emasculated… His penis couldn’t be that small, surely? He’d definitely seen smaller in his time. And Alfred hadn’t ever said anything about it. But why would he? He didn’t know any different.

He didn’t really want to dwell on it, because there wasn’t a lot that he could necessarily do about his anatomy. But would he be seen as more masculine if he went to the gym, like his boyfriend? He’d be a bit bigger, burlier and stronger looking but… surely that’d just make it look smaller?

He tried to focus on scrubbing the mud off of his skin and not about the times he’d been bullied by his brothers before, or the size of his appendage.

Alfred reddened a bit at the wolf whistle but he tactfully ignored it, instead focusing on guiding Arthur up the stairs and bringing him to the room. He knew that the other must have been humiliated and he really did feel bad. He could say with confidence that Arthur definitely wasn't small.

There had been too many penis comparisons in his old gym class to not know what small actually was. Now when he really thought about it...it was really disturbing how that happened but he was sure that most guys in gym class at school did it. It was really hilarious though when one of the biggest jocks in the school did really have a small penis.

Why the hell was he thinking about this anyways?

Well fuck, he would just have to play at the science geek again to assure Arthur. Hopefully.

Finally grabbing some clothes for Arthur, he thought about it for a moment before smiling a bit to himself. With that, Alfred hurried towards the bathroom, waiting for a moment before knocking at the door. "Hey Arthur, it's just me."

With that, he stepped into the bathroom, putting the clothes on the toilet seat before looking over at the shower.

He hoped that Arthur didn't feel too bad about himself. He really didn't have anything small.

Arthur sighed a little, only just able to hear Alfred over the flow of the water. He didn’t so much as bat an eyelid as Alfred just came in, it was what he expected from him nowadays, and wasn’t embarrassed to say as such. They were comfortable around each other now, perhaps not quite comfortable to let each other use the toilet whilst the other was in there (and good Lord did Arthur hope that they didn’t turn into one of those couples).

When he noticed that Alfred wasn’t leaving, he turned off the water, satisfied that he was clean enough. He gave Alfred a small smile, peeking around the shower curtain.

“Thanks, love,” he said, softly; his mood had somewhat improved just for the fact that Alfred had lived up to his predictability and hadn’t just gone back to bed as he may have wanted to do.

Alfred smiled over at him, glad that Arthur's mood actually seemed to improve. At least that was something. He just wanted to cheer him up even more and make him forget about his brothers. He made a note to put a chair at the door that night so that no one could step inside the room without having quite a bit of difficulty and if not that, then at least make a lot of noise. That would at least help them get some much needed sleep.

Also locking the door would be nice also.

Alfred just watched Arthur for a moment before sighing softly, still smiling a bit. "Um...if you're still concerned about the whole thing...with your brother," He started off.

Wow fuck. This was a weird subject.

"Well...I know enough to know that you're definitely not small."

Well that was something he never thought he would be saying.

Arthur immediately turned a deep shade of red.

“Pardon?” he raised an eyebrow, needing a moment for it to sink in as he debated whether Alfred meant physically or, uh, how well endowed he was. “S-small? I, um…” he looked away quickly, flustered. It was nice to hear. Embarrassing, but nice to hear. It was sweet for him to try and make Arthur feel better, considering the size of Alfred’s own ‘anatomy’.

“Thanks, I think?” he raised an eyebrow. It didn’t make him feel a lot better, but Alfred had yet again guessed what was wrong without even having to ask. He clearly knew him very well.

With an exhale, Arthur got out of the shower and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around his waist. He then went across to Alfred and leaned up to kiss him tenderly. Alfred was so good to him, so kind and loving. Arthur really didn’t want to ever imagine himself with anyone else. Everyone else seemed irrelevant when compared to him.

Alfred knew that was an extremely lame attempt to make Arthur feel better and he just scratched the back of his head sheepishly, embarrassed that he even said something like that. In all reality, Alfred had no idea what exactly was on Arthur's mind but at the same time, he knew that it would be degrading for any man to be considered as small.

It was definitely emasculating.

Though of course he couldn't help the nervous babble. "Uh...did you know that the average length of an erect penis is actually 6 inches? You're around there...I-I've seen it enough and maybe even a bit bigger!"

Well fuck him over. He really should learn just to shut up.

Though when Arthur leaned up to kiss him tenderly, Alfred finally shut up and relaxed into the kiss. He just held him closer to himself.

Arthur wanted to wrap his arms around Alfred’s neck but he was still wet from the shower. He didn’t want to soak Alfred’s clothes. But Alfred seemed to have other ideas as he was pulled closer, so Arthur did as he wanted, wrapping his arms around Alfred’s neck to pull him down just that little bit further so that they could kiss.

“Mmf,” he sighed into the kiss, smiling ever so slightly. He slowly, reluctantly pulled away when he felt like it was time to breathe. He gently touched Alfred’s nose with his, in a variant form of an Eskimo kiss before he pulled away entirely.

“Alfred,” he said softly, an eyebrow arched, “whatever size I might be, all I want is to please you.” Arthur’s cheeks turned pink as he unwrapped his towel to rub at his hair (water was dripping unpleasantly down his back). He dried himself off quite quickly before starting to dress himself.

Alfred just smiled, not really caring if Arthur was getting his clothes wet. All he really was enjoying was the fact that Arthur was pressed up against him and his arms were around his neck. It really was a nice feeling...reassuring and he was just glad that he had him in his life. That he had him as his lover. If only everyone else knew how envious they should have been.

He didn't want the kiss to end though when Arthur finally pulled away, he let out a soft sigh, taking a few breaths in. He was a bit surprised with the variant of an Eskimo kiss but he easily relaxed, rubbing his nose right back.

Instead Alfred just smiled kindly.

"You do a lot more than please me," He whispered before finally pulling away, wiping away at some of the water that had gotten onto him.

Arthur smirked a little as he fastened the button to his trousers. He pulled on the t-shirt Alfred had given him, relieved that it wasn’t something embarrassing. He soon turned back to Alfred and kissed his cheek, yet another thank you.

“I’ll bet you’re hungry,” it wasn’t a question. They hadn’t eaten dinner the previous night and he knew that Alfred would be hungry. He went to the door, brushing back his fringe from his eyes. “Let’s get some breakfast.” Although he didn’t really have much an appetite after that but perhaps a little bit of cereal would make him feel better?

“I’m not sure that there’ll be coffee downstairs. We never used to drink it when I was younger.”

Alfred just smiled at that, seeming a bit relieved at the mention of food and he was quick to scramble out of the bathroom so he could head down the stairs. "You already can read my mind, Arthur!" He chirped pleasantly, his stomach seeming to growl just right on time.

He shrugged a bit at the mention of coffee.

"Nah, I'm fine with anything you guys have in the fridge." He paused. "Unless it's tea." He made a face at that. He didn't particularly hate tea or anything (he used to really enjoy it) but he had an attachment for coffee now.

It was like cheating on coffee or something. He just couldn't do that. It wasn't in his character.

Arthur made his way down the stairs, heading to the kitchen. He immediately went to the fridge and produced a carton of orange juice, putting it on the counter beside him. He stared at the bacon for a few moments before pulling it out and showing Alfred.

“See, this is proper bacon,” he stated, in reference to a row they’d had before. He put it to the side and searched for sausages, soon finding some Welsh ones (which presumably Bevan had brought with him because his parents didn’t really eat that sort of food). “Is a full English okay?” he asked passively, meaning the breakfast. Although, he didn’t really think about the fact that Alfred might not know what he meant. He hip-bumped the fridge closed and moved about the kitchen, searching for the eggs. They tended to have this a lot because Arthur could cook it better than he could toast.

“There’s glasses in the cabinet over there if you want to get yourself some orange juice.”

It was odd how quickly he’d seemed to settle back in, let alone remember where things were.

Alfred looked over at the so called 'proper bacon' and he scoffed, rolling his eyes. "American bacon is still better," He defended lightly though he had to admit, the bacon did look quite good. Maybe even better than American bacon.

Nah, never.

He looked horribly confused at the mention of a 'full English' though and he shifted around. "Uh...I already have a full English, darling," He said easily with a small smile. Alfred had no idea what Arthur meant though he just watched him grab the rest of the food.

Though Alfred soon nodded, grabbing the glasses for both of them before pouring himself some orange juice. Taking a sip out of it, he put the other glass on the table and put the orange juice back on the counter. With that, he looked back at Arthur. "Do you want help with the cooking?" He asked curiously, wanting to know if the other needed any kind of help.

Arthur paused in his actions to stare over his shoulder at his boyfriend. He tried to stay composed but he couldn’t keep the laughter from his voice as he replied: “It’s eggs, bacon and sausages, darling.” He found himself smirking and looked away as he got out a pan to cook with. “Daft sod,” he murmured affectionately.

He just shook his head in response the question.

“Nah, it all just gets thrown in a pan anyway. There’s not a lot that you could do… you could get some cutlery and plates out though.” He was soon smiling genuinely at the cooker, however. “Thank you for offering,” he added quietly. Clearly, Alfred had listened to Arthur when they’d argued about food, and that he should cook more. “You can cook for us when we get back home, okay?”

Alfred looked a bit confused at first but then he quickly realised what Arthur really meant. "Oh! The breakfast!" He laughed a bit, cheeks tinged red with embarrassment. Well that was something he didn't want to repeat again. God that was embarrassing. He remembered actually discussing with Arthur about the food and he just wanted to help him and make sure that Arthur had nothing to complain about later.

"Alright! I'll get the cutlery and plates!" He smiled over at Arthur before winking. "Don't worry, I'll make the best damn meal you've ever tasted." With that, he went on a search for everything before setting it out on the table.

With that, he took a seat at the table, casually sipping at his orange juice.

Well at least no one else seemed to be coming into the kitchen right now.

Arthur scoffed a little at that, “I’ll hold you to that. As long as it doesn’t include ketchup then I’m sure it’ll be fine,” he teased.

He was pretty confident that the bulk of his brothers wouldn’t interrupt them for a while. Andrew would be out for his daily run, Bevan would be watching television, Liam would be doing whatever Liam did (Arthur wasn’t particularly close to him, which was probably why they didn’t really fight), and Patrick would probably be gloating down the phone to his wife. Peter was definitely the biggest threat. What else was there for a teenager to do in the… well, other than the obvious. He could imagine the tyke coming down to try and eat with them, or pestering Alfred to play football. One of those.

He eventually realised that the food was starting to get a little charred, which was when he took it off the heat, having previously been staring into space. He picked up the pan and headed for the table, where he served Alfred his portion before dishing up his own. He just put the pan in the sink and returned to eat his meal. He was looking forward to proper British food after so long so it was no surprise when he let out a low moan at the taste of the bacon. He’d missed this.

Alfred laughed at that. "Can't promise you on that one!" He joked back lightly, grinning over at his lover.

He was just glad that the other brothers seemed to be off with their own business though he hadn't seen Peter anywhere ever since moment that Arthur got teased. Oh no....never mind. He just saw Peter run down the stairs and into the living room. Hopefully he would stay there. Alfred definitely didn't mind the young boy but Alfred wanted to be with Arthur and it was obvious that his lover didn't really like the boy.

For some reason.

He seemed like a good enough kid.

Alfred sighed a bit when he saw the food. At least it was an improvement on the cooking that he had before. Also, he was really hungry, so it really was no surprise that he was quick to scarf it down.

He paused for a moment, looking up at Arthur before smiling even more.

"It's great!"

Arthur looked at Alfred sceptically for a few moments, chewing his food before he smiled ever so slightly at his plate. “Of course it is. Its English food,” he said once he’d swallowed. “Best food in the world.” In his opinion. He loved all of the pies and pastries they had in this country, and the stews, and the roasts. God, they’d have to have a roast before they left. But Arthur wasn’t very good at cooking roasts. He’d have to try and talk Liam or Bevan into cooking.

“I’ll have to show you what a roast is like before we leave,” he nodded. “It’s good. You’ll like it.”

He’d ignored Peter running around outside of the room, vaguely used to the sound of people moving about having lived there for years as well as having Alfred thump about the flat.

Alfred smiled and continued on eating, though he was pretty certain that American food was better. "Well, you gotta try my ma's food then! She's a really good cook! You'll change your mind and you'll see that real homemade American cookin' is the best!" He gave a firm nod. He was actually rather decent at cooking, especially homemade recipes.

At least he made a killer apple pie.

And the good kind of killer. Not the bad kind.

Though Alfred seemed excited at the prospect of eating more. "Any food is fine by me!"

Peter ended up peeking into the kitchen and he made a face at the food. "Ew, is the jerk cooking again? Gross food, gross food!" He called out before darting out of the kitchen again and back upstairs.

Arthur hummed quietly with a shrug. “I’m not entirely against that,” he took a large mouthful of sausage (large for him at least; Arthur seemed a little ravenous whilst eating this food). The idea of meeting Alfred’s family was nice. Hopefully they would come to accept Alfred and his relationship more.

He jumped as Peter suddenly appeared. He instinctively picked up his fork and pointed it at his younger sibling. “Get lost! Go play with your action man!” he bellowed at him as he ran away. He sighed heavily, frowning as he muttered obscenities beneath his breath about being scared out of his skin by Peter.

Alfred grinned at that, nodding with determination. "Well, you should definitely try it! She's the best cook! Good ol' American food!" Now when he really thought about, he was craving it. A lot. He missed his mother's cooking, though this wasn't all too bad either. He just hoped that his mother would get to like Arthur more. Well he knew that she liked him as a man but as his lover? Probably not as much.

It kind of made him wish that his father was still here...

Ah well.

"...You mean action figures, right?" He asked, an eyebrow quirked at the term of 'action men'. He used to love action figures when he was younger and that love really hasn't died out. If Arthur saw his old room, he would definitely see how much he loved superheroes like Captain America and Batman and all the like. And many other things of course.

He just laughed though at Arthur's reaction. "I'm surprised. That's a quick reaction"

“I’d like to,” Arthur nodded. “It’d be nice to see her again.” He’d liked Alfred’s mother, even if she didn’t seem too keen on him. She was very sweet and a lot like Alfred in both looks and personality. It would probably be a good idea for them to visit her at some point anyway, just to check up on her now that she was probably living alone.

“No, I mean action man. It’s a doll. It’s like, um, G.I. Joe but more modern… or, if you’d rather, the more ‘badass’ version of Ken,” he shrugged. “Peter used to love them when he was little.” He successfully cleared his plate and pushed it away from him. But he now felt grotesquely full.

He smirked a little at Alfred’s laughter. “When you attend an all-boys boarding school, you develop pretty quick reactions to things like that,” he explained.

Alfred looked at Arthur for a moment before he smiled a bit. "You know, she's not all that against you. She likes you as a person. I think she's still a bit weirded out that you're my...you know, lover and all the like though." He hummed a bit to himself. "I'm sure she'll get over it though."

Hopefully that would be the case.

Alfred looked horribly confused though he soon shrugged. "Oh, a British thing then." He really wasn't familiar with it...though maybe he should check it out. "My figurines were cooler though," He admitted.

Finally finishing his own plate, he just laughed.

"Well, you got me there. I was stuck in a mixed school." Not that he minded at the time. He got well along with the girls.

Arthur hadn’t quite expected Alfred to say that but he shrugged, “I can understand why she would feel uncomfortable. My parents still aren’t comfortable with my sexuality after…” he paused to count, “seventeen years. But I think that your mother is more understanding than my parents, so I’m sure that she won’t feel odd about it for long,” he attempted to be reassuring.

“Of course they were,” he rolled his eyes a little and stood to clear away the plates. He went to stack the dishwasher, out of habit.

“Well, I did get to mix with girls upon occasion.” There was the headmaster’s daughter, whom was the only girl he’d ever kissed. He vividly remembered touching her breasts, actually. It had been a strange experience for him, not necessarily an enjoyable one. “But yes, at a boys school, you’re usually prepared in case you’re attacked by either a mate or a bully.” He returned to Alfred, running his fingers through Alfred’s hair as he came to stand beside him.

“It’s a little ironic that my parents sent me to the boys’ school because they didn’t want me to be gay,” he smirked a little. It was half of the reason, at least. “Didn’t really work, eh?” he pressed a kiss to Alfred’s temple. “What do you want to do today?” he asked.

Re: Same Job, Different Time and Place [R-18] - Part 3

Post by Assistant Jones on Fri May 18, 2012 1:55 am

Alfred just nodded, wanting Arthur and his mother to be able to get well along with each other. Though they were still civil at the very least and he was eternally grateful for that. Though he still felt a bit bad for Arthur and his own parents, but that really wasn't something that he could help change their minds on. They seemed to dislike him.

Or at least Arthur's mum. Which was something he really didn't want to hink on.

"They were!" He urged but he smiled at Arthur.

"Yeah, I guess. Though I guess I gotta be a bit grateful that their attempts failed. Or else I wouldn't have had a shot," He mused. In all honesty, Alfred had never really touched a woman's breasts unless he was having sex. Even then he was still hesitant. He was always nervous about offending a girl and he usually only kept his hands on a female's waist when he was in high school and even throughout university.

Though it definitely wasn't something he wanted to think about now.
