Chronicles and Myth [Warning R-18]

"Sarcasm?" Alfred tilted his head in confusion and realisation followed soon after and his face lit up, he was quick in trying to clear up the misunderstanding. He shook his head and made an appeasing gesture with his hands. "No, no. You - you got it wrong! What I meant is..." He nervously bit on his lip, it couldn't be that hard to say something nice.

He should forget all the lessons about etiquette, about the exact angle of his bow, the correct way of looking at another person or the ideal articulation. Instead, he should simply talk to Arthur as a person to another. The most important thing at the moment was to let his own words flow in a natural way. Taking deep breath, he closed his eyes.

"You...look great," he slowly said, cheeks flaring up. "I...like the hat. It's cute. On you."

Arthur flushed at the clarified compliment, both in embarrassment at his own misunderstanding and the sweetness of the complement. "O-Oh. Well." That was the first nice thing he had been told, and he smoothed out the waistcoat. It did make him happy, to hear that his king liked the outfit and thought he looked cute. He had settled for that word because it wasn't particularly bad, and really if 'cute' was what the King thought of him then that was okay.

"Thank you." Arthur swallowed hard, reaching up subconsciously to touch the hat. The King liked this, then? Perhaps he would have a few more outfits like it made. "Should we go to the party now? I'm sure they'll be waiting. . ."

Alfred was delighted. It had worked! At that moment he really felt as if he was on top of the world and definitely able to conquer anybody's heart. His beaming smile was blinding and he nodded eagerly, ready to meet his people with the newly gained confidence. He was even in a good enough mood to offer Arthur his arm. "Let's go, surely you're hungry?"

The dining hall wasn't really a long walk away from the royal chambers and both soon arrived to join the other nobles. A long dining table was set up and the royal couple's seats made up the centre.

Their presence didn't remain unnoticed. All heads shot up to stare at the entrance, the cheerfull music stopped. Harps, tambourines, mandolines and flutes were lowered, replaced by baroque trumpets, their sounds so clear and brilliant in announcing and welcoming the new royals.

Alfred grinned. He could get used to being a ruler. "It's nice to be a monarch, isn't it?"

Arthur slipped his arm inside Alfred's resting his hand just before his wrist. It did feel good to be able to claim someone like this, even if they weren't in love. This man was his King and no one else was married to him. That way nice to think. "I am, a bit." And he was, now that most of the nerves of the day wore away.

He couldn't help but smile too, the King's joy and pride being contagious. When everyone stood upon their entrance and trumpets blared he was a bit startled, that would take some getting used to. It wasn't bad, though, and Arthur was glad there was someone to share it with. "Yes, I think so. Everyone is so respectful." He smiled at the people the walked by and only pulled his arm out from Alfred's once they had sat down. It felt cold and empty already.

It was a merry evening with Alfred cheerfully chatting with his closer friends who seemed to have taken a liking at mocking him for accidentally getting himself a husband. "You can't even get yourself a girl, Jack, so shut the fuck up," Alfred countered. And Jack did shut up but his smirk remained and he leant forward past Alfred's shoulder to playfully wink at the new Queen, that earned him a smack on the back of his head.
"Careful, I could accuse you of seducing my Queen," Alfred hissed.

The others laughed, only the fat advisor from Arthur's first day didn't join in as he already had a taste of the King's arbitrary allegations regarding his Queen. There's some serious possessive love going on, that poor man thought.

The main focus of the night should have been the coming coronation. Other royals from the kingdoms of Diamonds, Hearts and Clubs were invited to attend the ceremony, not to mention the Dukes, Earls and diplomats that were on the list. But Alfred's friends thought another topic to be more interesting than just a coronation.

"Boy, how to fuck a guy?" Jack spoke up, successfully causing the room to fall silent. Alfred stared at his friend with horror.

Another friend snorted at patted Jack on the back, finding it amusing. "Up the ass, right?"

Arthur flushed bright red and stared at his plate in embarrassment and horror. He had been thinking about it himself (and really most options looked grim for him) but to actually say it out loud. . .And in front of their advisors no less! Everyone had heard the boisterous man and Arthur was now swimming in an endless sea of embarrassment.

But then he remembered what Alfred has said earlier. If he was uncomfortable he should say something, right? Even if this was Alfred's friends, they shouldn't be allowed to talk like that. Arthur tore his eyes away from his plate and gave the two friends a sharp look. "That is the King's and my business, not yours. I would appreciate if you did not speak in such a manner in my presence."

The guffawing young men were rendered speechless and Alfred in return was looking at Arthur with awe. He roughly nudged Jack's side and grinned at him, somewhat proud. "Mind your manners, Jack!"
The Queen had proven himself to be worthy in front of the nobility and Alfred was glad. Besides, it was refreshing to see his usually boisterous friends being sent to their rightful place, not everybody had managed to do that.

The evening went on uneventfully, and after a magnificent dessert, a few more musical entertainments and a lot more glasses of wine, they all decided that it was time to end the official dining. Alfred signified the end with a nonchalant gesture of his hand and everybody understood. All those present rose from their seats and the King tugged at his Queen's sleeve, telling him that it was time to retreat to their chambers. The trumpets resounded for the last time that night and the newlyweds stepped out of the hall.

Only when the great dining hall was out of their sight did Alfred let his shoulders slump in exhaustion. He rubbed his eyes like a sleepy child and yawned. "What a day! I can't wait to flop into my blissful bed!"

Arthur, relieved to be out of the company of so many people, nodded in agreement. "I think it went well. Your friend's are a little bit rowdy." Arthur wasn't used to such roughhousing. He should be due to having three older brothers, but they all ignored him for the most part. It was a. . . different experience.

Arthur began walking back towards the room, stretching his arms out. "I would like to have a nice, long sleep. We have to get up early tomorrow for preparations." Arthur always rose early regardless, it was a habit he'd had since he was a small child. Back in their chamber he was pleased to find night clothes in his own closet and eagerly stripped out of the Kings gift, slipping on the nice silk clothes.

Alfred laughed at the comment about his friends being rowdy, they really were a special bunch of chaos. They simply refused to get used to the fact that their little Prince was now King and Alfred was silently glad for that.

Waiting for Arthur to change he had the chance to closely observe the difference in his chamber. It was neater than usual and today's decoration was dominated by the royal blue colour. Alfred personally would have liked an addition of red and white. But holy shit, were there rose petals on his royal bed?

Alfred stripped and flopped onto the soft cushions with a blissful groan, that movement caused rose petals to fly up and partially float down on the ground and on him. It was his habit to sleep topless, he hoped Arthur didn't mind. Besides, it was amusing to make the other flustered.

Arthur walked out of the closet only once he was fully dressed. . .and stopped at the foot of the bed. "You're. . . .missing a shirt." He knew it was stating the obvious but his cheeks were burning and he couldn't help but think of how nice and toned his Kings chest was. He wanted to touch but he knew the king would never allow that and he shouldn't even be thinking those things anyway, right? Even if his King was handsome.

Still blushing furiously, Arthur walked around to his side of the bed and crawled in slowly, trying very hard to to stare at Alfred's bare chest. It proved harder than it should have been and he hoped the King wasn't disgusted.

He definitely noticed the stolen glances on his admittedly well built torso. He grinned with a blend of amusement and a flattered feeling. Also, a slight blush flared up and tinted his cheeks with colour against his will. It would have been nice if his body and mind wouldn't act all contradicatory these recent days.

"Like what you see? You can touch if you want," he joked; probably to cover his own embarrassment.

Arthur heart briefly stopped when he said that, was the King being serious? He really wanted to take him up on that offer. But no, surely the King just says that in jest. It's impossible for him to want the same thing that Arthur found himself craving. He's only poking fun, right? "You don't have to mock me always, you know." Arthur huffed and turned his back to Alfred in attempts at hiding his permanent blush. It was safe to always take things in the worst way possible, that way he was never hurt.

"Jeez, what kind of an impression do you have of me, seriously. You make me sound like some meanie," well, he probably was mean towards Arthur but he couldn't help it. "You obviously were staring, so I was giving you an offer. Be grateful I'm so generous!" He chuckled.

He crawled under the cover and pinched Arthur's bum to make him turn. "Hey, pay attention to your husband on our wedding night!" He protested.

Arthur jumped and flipped over, scowling. "Fine! I'll pay attention to you!" He hands went to Alfred's bare torso, feeling it and also looking for a place where the King was ticklish. If the King wanted attention then he would get more than he ever hoped for.

That was not as expected, what was up with that man, he was completely off his rocker. Alfred squealed at the sudden attack, his face turned a deep shade of red as the hands trailed down his upper body. For a moment he even forgot how to breathe, the unfamiliar touch affected him stronger than he had thought.

One thing that he hated about himself was the fact that he was ticklish. A loud roar of laughter filled the chamber and he thrashed his body all across the large bed, trying to escape the devilish fingers of his Queen. It had eventually reached the point where he couldn't take it anymore, so he shot up and used his strength to grab both of Arthur's wrists. He pushed him down and had him successfully pinned against the mattress. More rose petals were whirled up and landed on Arthur's lithe body.

Alfred's triumphant smirk died down at the sight of Arthur beneath him, rose petals scattered about his pale skin - a sight that was eerily beautiful to behold, it sent shivers down his spine. He never really noticed but Arthur's eyes were capable of piercing anybody with the intensity of the colour.

He gulped and slowly loosened his grip around Arthur's wrists.

Arthur was surprised that it actually worked and he tickled the King. He wasn't sure what he was expecting to happen, just that it wasn't this. He soon found himself laughing as well until his King bested him and he ended up pinned to a mattress. His slight frame was outlined by the material of his pajamas, showing off his almost girlish figure. A new blush crept onto Arthur's face and he swallowed, staring up into soft baby blue with vibrant green eyes.

His King was handsome. So incredibly, wonderfully, enchantingly handsome. He longed to reach up and touch the smooth and somewhat tanned skin of Alfred's face, and once his wrists were released he did just that. He gently touched the tips of his fingers to the King's cheek, feeling the soft skin. He wanted to say something but he stopped himself, he didn't want to ruin the moment.

The ring as a symbol of power and marriage glistened on Arthur's finger, it felt cold against Alfred's heated skin but Arthur's hand felt warm, he found himself subconsciously leaning against the unfamiliar touch. "Arthur..." His voice was barely audible, almost lost in the spacious royal chamber.

On the royal bed lay two strangers. They were two strangers made one by two wedding rings and a vow. So Alfred thought that it was only natural to explore the stranger beneath him, or so did he justify the soft caressing along Arthur's jawline and neck.

The moment felt almost divine and so right. No hurting words were exchanged, just a mutually mesmerizing eye contact and soft touches. So shy and yet a barrier had been broken down.

The Kings hand was warm and Arthur leaned towards it, enjoying the sparks his touch created. He had never felt anything like this before, it was mesmerizing. Arthur knew he wanted more and it looked like Alfred did too, so he didn't regret it a single bit when he leaned up and pressed his lips to Alfred's again. Those brief seconds in the chapel felt blissful, so surely a longer kiss would feel even better?

For Arthur, it did. Kissing Alfred felt so wonderfully right that his mind couldn't comprehend why they have ever been nervous about it in the first place. The hand that was on Alfred's cheek slipped down to join the other as they curled around his King's neck, only pulling himself closer to Alfred.

Alfred felt an electric jolt course through him the moment Arthur kissed his lips, he withdrew himself immediately, staring in shock and face glowing red. He frowned and was about to say something scolding or mock the other for falling in love with his awesome self so easily. But instead, completely against his will of course, he passionately let his lips crash against Arthur's. He closed his eyes blissfully and relished in the soft feeling of warm lips moving against his.

Arthur had pulled him down but he was afraid to crush his Queen below him, so he rolled them over so that Arthur was now laying on him. He let his hands trail along the small of Arthur's back, he loved the curve of it. Lips moved sensually, shy at first but growing bolder the longer it lasted.

Arthur adjusted himself so he was straddling the King, keeping their lips connected. Alfred's hands on his back made him shiver and arch into it. He loved the way this felt, like the King truly cared for him. The kiss made his chest ache in a good way, a way that made him feel complete. He never wanted to give this up, not for anything.

When the Queen's lungs began to burn he pulled back, his lips were plump and glistening and his cheeks were flushed. His breath came out in short pants as he looked at the man below him, feeling nothing but complete adoration. "Alfred. . ." He whispered his King's name, licking his own lips. "I. . .think I might. . ."

Alfred could barely contain a whine when Arthur's lips left his, he'd love nothing better than to pull him back down. Though he decided that marvelling at Arthur's flushed expression and his thoroughly kissed lips was good enough. Their heavy breathing was the only thing that filled the silence in their room, they were really alone in a dark chamber, lying in a bed full of flower petals scattered about.

Alfred breathed out a low gasp at his name being called in such a sensual way and he stared up to his Queen through half-lidded eyes. He held the other's hips. "W-what?" He was embarrassed to hear his voice crack.

"I. . ." Arthur bit his lip, getting cold feet about what he was going to say. What if his King rejected it? Instead he swallowed his words and leaned down again, fully intending on kissing away Alfred's question. He would say it some other time, not right now. If only the King's friends could see them now, Arthur was sure that none of them have ever experienced passion like this and they were merely kissing.

It was wonderful, warm, and Arthur would cling to it with all that he had.

Alfred looked up with wide confused eyes, just as he wanted to press him on what he was going to say, his lips were caught in another kiss and he gladly let himself be silenced by that mouth doing its magic on him. Then an idea struck him, he'd heard people talk about it and he felt bold enough to try it out. He trapped Arthur's body between his legs and arms with a smirk.

The young King thought about his mother who was always so beautiful, he thought about his wise father. None of them were here for him anymore. And Alfred was happy that he wasn't alone in this previously lonely room tonight. He smiled with relief.

Right now he was about to try something out. Licking Arthur's lower lip he silently asked for permission and waited for the other to grant him entrance. His hands were still caressing Arthur's back in soothing motions.

Arthur, who was inexperienced himself, still had older brothers and knew what Alfred was asking when he felt that tongue along his bottom lip. Oh course, if just kissing felt good who was he to deny more? Arthur willingly parted his lips and greeted Alfred's tongue with his own. Part of him wondered if someone else's tongue in his mouth would feel odd, but instead it felt wonderful. Like he and his King were sharing something that only the two of them could give the other and Arthur loved it. He loved this.

The King shuddered, the feeling of going deeper into Arthur was overwhelming him and he found himself clinging to the man above him. He blushed at the sounds of their kissing, they were quite loud because of the wild movements of lips against lips, tongue pressing against tongue. Such a private moment of intimacy, just thinking of it made him feel hot.

His hand stroked the heated skin beneath the Queen's nightwear, still there was not enough bodily contact. "Arthur, Arthur..." he whispered between kisses and surpressed moans. "Please..." Alfred didn't even know what he was begging for.
