Arthur tore off his clothes as soon as he heard the door close. He wanted to burn them, for the fact that they would be a reminder of what just happened. He scrambled into his bed, naked and irritatingly aroused. For the remainder of the night, he thought of Alfred. Of his smooth skin, his hair, his beautiful eyes, the muscle of his chest, his hands, his lips… oh his lips. Arthur was reeling all night long.

In the morning, his wrist hurt.

The next day, Arthur took every opportunity to avoid Alfred. He did not attend any meals and simply asked to eat them alone in his chambers. He couldn’t believe that it had happened, that he had committed such a crime and hurt his fiancée in the process. Madeline would be so devastated, should she ever find out. She was incredibly fragile and meek (or that was what Arthur thought) and would not be able to cope with such news.

What was even more disturbing was that Arthur had enjoyed it far more than any time he’d kissed Madeline or any other woman. He was heterosexual, blatantly. He had to be for his parents, for his kingdom, for himself. He was not homosexual. He couldn’t be. He could not have liked it as much as he did. Perhaps it was because Madeline and he had not yet kissed with such passion? They had kissed many times now, but it had always been sweet and chaste… although his kisses with Alfred were hardly raunchy. So why did it have such a profound effect on him?

Arthur was passing through a corridor as he noticed Madeline coming his way. Now was his chance to remind himself of the exquisite taste of a woman (or a girl, in this case).

He approached her, feeling daring enough to take her by her waist (something he had not attempted before). He was hesitant for a moment, unable to look at her until he gained the courage to look into her beautiful, violet eyes.

“May I kiss you, Maddie?” he asked softly, knowing that it was quite abrupt, but he was sure that she wouldn’t say no. He had to prove it to himself. He had to.

Alfred really didn't know what to do with himself that night. He had thought about touching himself but he knew that the gods would probably smite him if he touched himself to...thinking about the other prince. So he kept his hands away and he struggled. It was hard and he had no idea why he felt this way towards Arthur. Arthur of all people.

This was wrong. So very wrong. He shouldn't be doing this. He should just keep away from Arthur.

He wasn't all that surprised to find Arthur's lack of presence during dinner or any of the other meals. In fact, he felt like he should hide away. He felt as if everyone around him knew about what they had done. Knew and would tell on the both of them.

Alfred couldn't understand anything around him anymore. He felt scared.

Madeline was rather surprised when Arthur took her around her waist and she gasped, looking up at him with flushed cheeks.

"A-Arthur!" She exclaimed, covering her mouth for a moment before pausing for a few seconds and finally dropping her hand.

"...Ah...well...of course," She said, her whole face flushed.

Arthur recoiled at her shout, looking a little concerned that he might have somehow injured her. When he realised that it was simply because she was shocked, he felt more at ease again. She was pretty, really. He was incredibly lucky that she was as such. He’d heard horrible stories of women that looked like horses but were painted like goddesses in portraits.

But Madeline was very much like something out of mythology. Perhaps not quite Aphrodite… but Psyche, at least.

He smiled a little at her, cupping one of her cheeks with his hand before he leaned in, kissing her softly.

So far, no tension. He wanted tension so desperately. He didn’t want awkwardness. That was always what they got out of these kisses.

Madeline seemed to be completely embarrassed and shocked that Arthur had wanted to kiss her but she began to kiss him back. She was gentle and soft though definitely very awkward.

She always enjoyed kissing Arthur, he was her first kiss and her only kisses but at the same time, she didn't feel all that much from him. But maybe that was how kissing was.

She soon reached up to lightly grasp at his shoulders though she didn't bring her arms much farther up than that.

This could not be it. There had to be some sort of underlying attraction between them. They were a man and woman, what other factors could they possibly need to find one another exciting?

If this was kissing, then he didn’t even want to begin to think about how dull his sex life would be until either he or she died. He was already mourning the tense but inevitable sessions; they had to produce an heir someday.

He tried to pick up the pace a bit, kissing her a little harder than before. His hand slid to her lower back as he drew her closer, wondering if, if they were closer, they would actually feel something. A spark, an erection, just anything would do!

Madeline shivered when Arthur drew her closer and she gave a light gasp. Soon she pulled away from the kiss, cheeks still red though she quickly leant in to kiss him again. Yet she wasn't really comfortable with the quickened pace.

That was when Alfred saw the both of them. Kissing in such an obvious spot! And to think that...Arthur had kissed him the night before and was now there kissing his sister like she was the only thing in the world.

"Hey! If you guys are going to be kissing, kiss somewhere else! I don't want to see you swap spit," He interrupted. For some reason, he was angry.

But...this time he was angry at his sister also. Maybe even more so than Arthur. He had no idea why.

Arthur could tell that she wasn’t comfortable. He wasn’t comfortable, either. But he wanted to prove a point to himself and so continued to kiss her unabashedly in the corridor.

He tensed as he heard Alfred’s voice, eyes opening to look across at the younger teen. He furrowed his brow and stopped kissing Madeline, although he didn’t let go of her. It was almost as though he was holding her possessively.

He felt impossibly guilty that Alfred had seen and wondered what the boy was thinking. He wasn’t quite sure why, however. A kiss was a kiss, and nothing more.

“You don’t have to watch,” he retorted.

Alfred scowled at that, looking a bit sickened.

"You're right at the corridor! It's kinda hard not looking at it!" He started to raise his voice, furrowing his eyebrows. He was angry. That was for certain and he didn't know why but he was jealous also.

Madeline was seeming to begin to worry now and she looked around.

"Al..." She dragged off with a frown, feeling more uncomfortable now. She had felt uncomfortable with the kiss since it seemed as if Arthur was trying too hard and now because of it, Alfred was angry. She lightly tried to get out of Arthur's hold.

"Do it somewhere where we can't see it!" Alfred muttered, cheeks flushed.

Although Arthur was reluctant to seem like he was relenting, he let go of Madeline. He wouldn’t keep her if she didn’t want to be there. He could understand why she would want to leave.

“Stop shouting,” Arthur scolded. “You aren’t a child, you needn’t act like one.” He adjusted his robes, glancing away for a few seconds. He was quick to return to scowling at Alfred. He wouldn’t be told what to do by a boy confused about his orientation. It was not something that he was willing to back down on.

And why should he feel apologetic anyway? Madeline was his fiancée and it was inevitable that he would want (because he wanted to, of course) to kiss and hold her. She was precious to him. Not like her snivelling brother who tempted him into doing things that were wrong.

“You’re making a big deal out of nothing.”

Madeline quickly left after Arthur let her go and Alfred just scoffed, glaring the prince down.

"So it shouldn't be a big deal to take it away from the corridors."

He soon smirked a bit, looking a bit amused.

"You looked like you were trying so hard. It was obvious she didn't like it. What? Can't satisfy someone?" He asked, crossing his arms.

Arthur watched Madeline leave, knowing that he would have to apologise to her and make it up to her. Perhaps he’d bring her flowers?

He was immediately angered by Alfred’s comment. He felt the sudden urge to hit him. His expression only darkened as he took the jibe seriously.

“Says the boy who has only been kissed once.” Now twice. “What would you know about satisfying someone? What would you know about affection, tenderness or love-making?” Not that he’d even thought about getting that far with Madeline. The thought made his stomach churn, actually.

He walked up to stand in front of Alfred, irritated that he could not look down on the boy as Alfred was eye-level with him (although they were both sure to grow taller).

“You’re a virgin,” he sneered. “You know nothing.”

Alfred barked out a bitter laugh. He knew that he shouldn't have been so bitter but he was angry. He was surprisingly angry at just seeing Arthur kiss someone else.

Even if that someone else was the woman he was supposed to be married to in a few months.

"Obviously even with your experience you don't know either. You weren't even that into the kiss and I mean, Madeline ran right away. It was obvious on both of your expressions that you don't know how to satisfy someone with a kiss."

He knew that was a lie. A very big lie. Arthur was very good with kissing.

And it killed him inside knowing that he knew that very fact.

"So? At least I'm the non-virgin who doesn't know how to satisfy worth a fuck."

Arthur’s reaction was sudden as he punched the other square in the jaw, able to do so after giving no warning what so ever. Alfred was more thickly built than him and would probably be able to win hands-down in a fist fight against spindly Arthur.

“Shut up! Shut up!” he shouted, without really meaning to. He hoped that he didn’t draw the attention of any guards. This would be difficult to explain. He had no idea why what Alfred was saying was bothering him so much, but it was. He wouldn’t let him get away with saying these things to him.

“At least I bloody well know how to fuck and kiss, you impertinent little twerp!”

Alfred reeled back when Arthur punched him in the jaw and he scowled, soon shoving Arthur against the wall.

"What the hell was that!? Hurt that someone is just telling you the truth!?" He barked out another laugh and he didn't even have the time to rub at his jaw.

He had to admit that it hurt quite a lot.

"Then prove it you bastard!"

Arthur felt somewhat victorious as Alfred stumbled backwards. A powerful hit, obviously. It was short lived when Alfred shoved him, however. He fell back and hit his shoulder blade on the stone. It was painful, but he refused to show Alfred that it had, had any effect on him at all.

He watched the other with fiery, green eyes as the other challenged him.

Challenge accepted.

Arthur reached out and grabbed the neckline of Alfred’s clothes, forcefully dragging him into a heavy and rough kiss. He wasn’t thinking, the fact that they were in a public area was at the back of his mind. He just wanted to show Alfred how very wrong he was.

Alfred had smirked when he saw Arthur hit his shoulder blade against the wall and he was about to hold it over the other. Yet soon enough he was being pulled forward and suddenly he was in a heavy, rough kiss.

God.

This felt nice. He didn't let himself stay shocked for too long though. He should have pulled away and slapped the other but he couldn't. Instead he pressed right back into the deep kiss, also desperate and passionate and very rough.

"Nn...!"

He didn't want to admit that it felt so good. It did though and he couldn't do anything about it.

Arthur knew he’d won when Alfred kissed back. If it was awful, the other would have undoubtedly pulled away and laughed at him. But he wasn’t. He was kissing Arthur and he was kissing Alfred. It was surreal, a repeat which Arthur had not wanted to occur. But it was good, of course it was good. Alfred’s lips were soft and as the other tried to keep up, he found himself drowning in the kiss, melting against Alfred.

It was horribly clear to Arthur that he enjoyed kissing Alfred far more than Madeline. Madeline was too soft, too hesitant but Alfred, although inexperienced, would throw all of his energy into the kiss and make up for the quality with his enthusiasm.

He tried to flip them and press Alfred against the wall instead, to regain control of the situation.

It seemed as if they both knew that Alfred had lost that one but it was definitely something that he would never really ever admit. He would keep on denying it for probably the rest of his life.

At this rate, his life seemed to be rather short considering that they were making out right in a public area.

He hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings though and soon enough he was flipped over and pressed against the wall. A gasp escaped his lips and soon a low purr, excited and wanting more.

He should push Arthur away.

This wasn't right.

But he couldn't do it.

Arthur pressed his leg between Alfred’s, leaning into him more to continue to show off that he was no stranger to kissing. He heard the noise Alfred made but it was making him more aware of their surroundings. They were not in a safe place to do this.

He was the one to pull away, breathing heavily as he looked at Alfred with an animalistic spark in his eyes. He held still for a few moments, gaze fixed on Alfred’s blue eyes (occasionally slipping to his lips) before he leaned in and whispered into the other’s ear.

“I can kiss… and I’m a good fuck,” he bit out the last words for emphasis but pulled away. “I cannot prove it here,” he whispered lowly.

Alfred was panting heavily and he had grind lightly against Arthur's leg. He wanted more and his heart was pounding against his chest again.

He couldn't help but look somewhat amused though a bit aroused all at the same time.

He gasped and leant his head back a bit, leaning against the wall lightly.

"So...so you're saying that you would prove it somewhere else?" He asked. And once again Madeline was completely out of his mind.

He was such a selfish little prince.

Arthur regarded the other silently for a few moments before finally nodding.

“If you want me to,” he said softly, admiring the kissable plumpness of Alfred’s lips.

Alfred looked at Arthur, wondering for a few good seconds and contemplating whether this was actually a good idea. Though soon he gave him a small smirk.

"And if I said that I wanted you to?" He teased though his body was starting to warm up.

They definitely couldn't do anything here.

Technically they shouldn't be able to do anything anywhere. But...maybe kissing Arthur a few times could be their own little dirty secret. It...wasn't as if they were in love. Far from it actually. It wouldn't ruin the marriage just because they shared a few kisses.

“Your room,” Arthur said in response. They seemed to always be returning to Arthur’s room and he did not want to be the only one constantly haunted by their activities, be it kissing or attempted murder.

And Lord knew why Arthur gave himself so freely to someone who did indeed try to end his life. He must have had a death wish.

“Take us there,” he commanded.

Alfred was actually rather surprised that Arthur wanted to go to his room with him. Though he soon nodded and grabbed Arthur's hand, tugging him along towards his room.

He didn't know why Arthur was doing this with someone who tried to kill him a few weeks ago.

Maybe he wanted his revenge back or something like that? He had no idea.

As he pulled Arthur along, he couldn't help but notice Madeline looking over at them. He felt nervousness wrack up in him.

Arthur honestly didn’t know why he wanted someone that he considered a lunatic.

He allowed Alfred to lead the way, sighing slightly at the skin-on-skin contact of their hands. He then realised how utterly ridiculous he was being. Particularly as Madeline came into view.

What was he doing? That was his fiancée. He was being unfaithful and would doubtlessly be punished for it.

So, he threw Maddie the most charming smile he could muster and refused to let Alfred take him any further.

“Alfred,” he said slowly, “you should be with your sister... You can show me that, erm, thing later.”
